Upper Main Line YMCA is looking for swim instructors for Summer swim lessons in Berwyn, PA

Are you a student at who loves swimming and working with children? If so, we are looking for a Swim Instructor to join our team at Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn, PA. In this role, you will lead swimming programs, provide lessons to students of various ages and skill levels, and inspire young swimmers to develop a love for the water. If you are enthusiastic, self-motivated, and passionate about swimming, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed

Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, preferably in an educational or instructional setting
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques
• Strong background in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management and creative teaching skills
• Strong behavior management skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is beneficial, as it demonstrates an understanding of working with children in a structured environment!
